Class A CDL
You bring the friendly personality, we’ll provide the beer, and together we can put smiles on our customers’ faces. Drive a Class A truck or other vehicle to deliver beer to varying account types. Follow an outlined itinerary and be willing to work hours that vary based on the route. Collect payments from accounts as needed. Complete and submit all required DOT and end of day checklists/paperwork. Lift, stack, and transport cases and kegs of beer of varying weights to accounts. You will also be required to build and maintain ABI product displays, rotate and stock all accounts, and maintain POS.
Our routes cover the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula, and operate during the day, no overnights.
Deliver products to accounts in a timely manner
Merchandise/stock product and rotate product to standards
Provide excellent customer service
Collect payment at the time of delivery
Complete pre- and post-trip inspections
Creating and stocking beverage displays on the floor
Installing point of service signage
Assisting the sales department
MUST have a Valid VA CDL A License
Ability to lift 25 lbs or more
Must have outstanding customer service and communication skills, and be able to perform basic math
Must be a team player
Must be able to maintain D.O.T. Medical Certificate
Part-time Summer Position
Warehouse Personnel employees are a critical part of the Al Pugh Distributing Company supply chain. Candidates are given the ability to build account orders to meet the demands of some of our top retail accounts. We believe in the value of employees owning their work. As a warehouse personnel employee, you are responsible for ensuring the correct product is loaded on to the correct truck. You are the one who validates the load is built correctly, to protect the product and ensure employee safety.
Load and unload delivery and route trucks
Build palletized loads from computer-generated load sheets
Ensure load product meets Anheuser-Busch standards
Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of facilities
High School Diploma or GED
Must have a Valid VA Driver’s License
Must be able to work in wide temperature variation
Good oral and written communications skills
Be able to lift, load, unload and move products weighing up to 50lbs and fulfill all physical requirements of the job
